Gia Margaret is a Chicago-based artist who crafts music that is intimate, beautiful, and dreamy. Her fourth and latest album Singing came out this past April and it marked her first vocal album since her 2018 debut album There’s Always Glimmer following a vocal injury in 2019 that forced her to pivot towards instrumental-focused ambient music. In regards to her cool and calming guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World, Gia had this to share. She says, "Some old favorites and new discoveries, all to be enjoyed under a night sky. Summer nights are for listening to music, I think. I've been enjoying these songs with a tea or cocktail in hand, embracing my common summer habit of staying up later than usual."
