Hailing from the city of Tamanrasset, Imarhan are an Algerian quintet captivating audiences with their transportive Tuareg desert blues. Drawing upon traditional Tuareg music, African ballads, and the modern pop and rock music that the band heard growing up, the group originally formed in 2008 and would eventually release their eponymous debut album in 2016 on City Slang Records, a renowned German label that also helped present Imarhan's third studio album Aboogi earlier this year.
