Chiiild is the enigmatic project of a Montreal-based artist who has quickly turned heads and captured ears ever since dropping his debut single "Count Me Out" in late July 2019. Creating music dubbed as "Synthetic Soul," Chiiild's music is a potent mixture of smoky soul, psychedelic R&B, and woozy pop. Their excellent debut EP, also titled Synthetic Soul, came out back in February and features seven songs grounded in Chiiild's experience as an African artist looking to tell stories about diversity, ask questions about humanity, and unify people over shared personal experiences, all through the power of music.
