Following last week’s announcement of a new forthcoming album titled Flamagra, Flying Lotus is quickly rolling out tracks off of it. At 27 tracks long, he’s got a lot of freedom to do so! Today, he’s shared two of the tracks, “Takashi” and the Little Dragon-featuring “Spontaneous.” The songs follow last week’s offering, “Fire Is Coming,” featuring spoken word by David Lynch and a surreal video.
Other artists that are set to appear on the album include Shabazz Palaces, Solange, George Clinton, Tierra Whack, Anderson .Paak, Thundercat, Toro Y Moi, and Denzel Curry.
Flamagra is out May 24 via Warp Records and will be FlyLo’s first record in five years, following 2014’s You’re Dead!. He previously said this about the new album:
"I’d been working on stuff for the past five years, but it was always all over the place. I’d always had this thematic idea in mind — a lingering concept about fire, an eternal flame sitting on a hill. Some people love it, some people hate it. Some people would go on dates there and some people would burn love letters in the fire."
