Sharon Van Etten is releasing her fifth studio album, Remind Me Tomorrow, tomorrow, Friday, January 18. Last night, ahead of its release, she stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform her most recent single, “Seventeen,” which also coincidentally is today’s KEXP Song of the Day. Dressed head to toe in red and slinging maracas, Van Etten completely shreds the emotionally charged anthemic ode to New York City and “upbeat nod to Bruce Springsteen.” For the online bonus video, Van Etten performs the Remind Me Tomorrow track “Your Shadow.”

Remind Me Tomorrow follows 2014’s Are We There and made KEXP's Most Anticipated Albums of 2019 list. In the years between the records, Van Etten became a mother as well as an actress, appearing in the show The OA. Sharon Van Etten will play the Neptune Theatre on Saturday, February 23.

Watch both Jimmy Kimmel Live! videos as well as Van Etten’s 2014 KEXP in-studio performance below.
