Animal Collective member Avey Tare released his latest solo album, Eucalyptus, last year. Today, he’s unveiled a new EP titled Essence of Eucalyptus, in which songs from Eucalyptus are remixed by his Animal Collective bandmates. Geologist takes on “When You Left Me,” Panda Bear remixes “Melody Unfair,” and Deakin puts his touch on “Ms. Secret.” The EP finishes off with a live recording of “PJ” and “DR aw One for J.” The EP is out now, with a 12” vinyl due for arrival on September 7 via Domino. Fresh off of releasing EVERYTHING IS LOVE, a collaborative album with his with wife Beyoncé, JAY-Z has unveiled a trailer for a new documentary series the legendary rapper is producing about the life of Trayvon Martin. Dubbed Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story, the series will also examine the Black Lives Matter movement and feature interviews from Martin's family and footage of the protests following the 17-year-olds death after he was killed by George Zimmerman. The series debuts on July 30 on BET.
