A new documentary focused on multiple Mercury Award-winning musician PJ Harvey has been announced. Titled A Dog Called Money, the film is directed by Harvey’s frequent collaborator photographer and filmmaker Seamus Murphy. The doc is focused on the making of 2016’s The Hope Six Demolition Project, featuring footage of the recording process and Harvey’s travels to Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Washington D.C.

“Polly and I know and trust each other,” Murphy said in a statement. “Enough for her to travel with me to Afghanistan and other challenging places, and for me to believe she’d bring back magic. She then invited me into a big white box behind one-way windows to film every moment of the recording of the songs she brought back. Individually and together, this is our response to what we encountered.”

The film will premiere at Berlin’s International Film Festival, Berlinale, in 2019. Earlier this year, Harvey shared her take on the traditional English folk song "An Acre of Land" for the film Dark River. In September, Harvey announced that she’ll be penning the score for the upcoming stage adaptation of the classic 1950 film All About Eve starring Gillian Anderson and Lily James.
