  • Real Estate frontman Martin Courtney has announced he'll be releasing a solo album, titled Many Moons, out October 30th via Domino. A press release states the full-length, "is squinting-at-the-sun bright, full of subtle introspection, an elliptical document of Courtney’s transition into family life and fatherhood." Aww. Fellow Real Estate'r keyboardist Matt Kallman contributes to the album, as well as Jarvis Taveniere of Woods. Check out the video for the track "Northern Highway" below. Courtney will be LIVE on KEXP from The Cutting Room Studios in New York City on Friday, October 16th at 9:00 AM PT. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Mercury Rev will also be LIVE on KEXP from The Cutting Room Studios in New York on Thursday, October 15th at 9:00 AM PT. The veteran psych-rock band return with their first new album in seven years, The Light In You, out September 18th on Bella Union. Check out the video for the single "Are You Ready?" below, described in a press release as "a cinematic and psychedelic depiction of a young woman's dreamscapes where the lines between reality and fantasy have become blurred."
