  • As you've probably already downloaded, Wilco released their ninth full-length, Star Wars, last week, offering it for free. Of course, being the nice guys they are, today they shared a list of albums they think you should buy. In an email, they wrote, "There’s a lot of great music out there, let's all try to support it. After all, it's the years of support (and purchases) of Wilco's music that allowed us to do what we did last week." Check out their shopping list here: [Pitchfork]

  • Local garage rock duo Pony Time are on the verge of releasing their fourth full-length together, Rumours 2: The Rumours Are True, a nod to the classic Fleetwood Mac album, Rumors. Check out the first single "Time Tells Me" below. Pony Time are playing a just-announced show tonight at the Cha Cha with drummer Stacy Peck's other band Childbirth. Rumours 2: The Rumours Are True will be self-released on September 11th. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Check out an album trailer from UK supergroup Minor Victories, featuring Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell, Editors’ Justin Lockey, Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite, and Hand Held Cine Club’s James Lockey. No release date announced yet, but with that line-up, and from what we can hear in this clip, we are very excited. [Stereogum]

  • The third album from The Mynabirds, led by singer/songwriter Laura Burhenn, won't hit stores 'til next month, but you can stream the whole thing below, via NPR. The full-length, titled Lovers Know, is another elegant release of country-soul-inspired pop. The Mynabirds will be LIVE on KEXP on Thursday, September 10th, and playing The Sunset later that night. Lovers Know hits stores on August 7th on Saddle Creek. [Under the Radar]
