  • All hail Father John Misty, whose sophomore release I Love You, Honeybear comes out tomorrow on Sub Pop. Watch the charismatic performer turn out an acoustic rendition of "I Went to the Store One Day" in a French café, via La Blogothèque's famed "Take Away Show" series.   • Brooklyn eardrum-busters A Place To Bury Strangers are streaming their forthcoming album Transfixation in its entirety, via NPR Music. For their fourth full-length, a press release states the band "trusted its instincts and tried to keep things as pure as possible. If that meant a mess of cross-contaminated microphones and mud-caked mistakes, so be it. Music is much more exhilarating when it’s unpredictable, and this is very much an unpredictable record." Transfixation hits stores on February 17th via Dead Oceans. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Australian jangle-pop band Twerps share a new video today for the track "Stranger" off their latest release, Range Anxiety. Director Angus Lord uses a stop-motion style to capture the story of a lil' Play-Doh man out to make new friends. Watch below. Range Anxiety is out now via Merge Records, and the band will play in Seattle on Saturday, April 4th at The Sunset. [Stereogum]

  • Bay area duo The Dodos also share a new video today: watch band members Meric Long and Logan Kroeber dance it out in this clip for the track "Competition" off their latest Individ, out last month on Polyvinyl.
