  • Super-duo EL VY (that's Matt Berninger of The National and Brent Knopf of Ramona Falls/Menomena) made their television debut last night on Conan. Watch those two (backed by Wye Oak’s Andy Stack on drums) perform the title track from their forthcoming full-length album, Return to the Moon, out October 30th on 4AD. KEXP presents EL VY at Neumos on Wednesday, November 4th with Hibou. [Spin]

  • London electronic artist Oscar shares a new home-recorded track we can all relate to, titled "Breaking My Phone." The non-album track is out now via Wichita. Oscar will be LIVE on KEXP on Monday, October 5th at 9:30 AM PT, and playing later that night at Barboza. [Stereogum]

  • The Roots’ Questlove and “Captain” Kirk Douglas reprised their role as Black Simon and Garfunkel last night on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Donning black turtlenecks and with only an acoustic guitar, the pair solemnly covered The Weeknd’s hit "Can’t Feel My Face." And then out of nowhere, White Art Garfunkel of the actual Simon & Garfunkel joins them on stage for the chorus. Watch below: [Consequence of Sound]
