megiapa is a LA-based, Ohio-born linguist, producer, visual artist, and vocalist who makes jazz-influenced experimental beat music. Following a long string of EPs and mixtapes, she just released her wonderful debut full-length album Intentions on acclaimed Chicago-based label International Anthem Records.
For her exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World, megiapa shares a beautiful selection of songs that touch upon her own genre-blurring sound as she mixes together jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and electronic cuts in cohesive fashion. She shares: "This mix pulls from different eras of my life. It includes formative influences, music by friends and collaborators, and a few selections from different projects by my International Anthem Recording Company labelmates."
