Meridian Brothers is a project spearheaded by veteran Bogotá-based composer, vocalist, producer, and multi-instrumental alchemist Eblis Álvarez. Formed in 1998, the band has explored a colorful, quirky, and groovy style of expansive Afro-Latin music throughout its deep discography. Their latest album, Mi Latinoamérica Sufre, was released this past July and it centered around Álvarez’s desire to explore the untapped potential of the electric guitar in a tropical Latin context.
