Los Angeles producer Michael David is the co-founder of the revered electronic production duo Classixx, a member of the synth-pop trio Mt. Si, and an exploratory solo artist with an expansive catalog that ranges from euphoric dance anthems to introspective ambient fare. This past June he released Talking Book World on Cascine Records, a dreamy 4-track EP of evocative and lush Balearic-tinted grooves that features guest appearances from Laraaji, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, and Sam Wilkes.
Michael's exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World is a beautifully diverse journey through sophisticated chill-out music that reflects the type of music he listens to at home with his family. While it's dominated by deep cuts from iconic artists such as Prefab Sprout, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Suicide, Primal Scream, and The Allman Brothers, he also sneaks in a choice new cut by Purelink as well as a standout track from his recent EP to properly set the tone for the mix.
