Braids are a Montreal-based band that have been releasing captivating art-rock and expressive electro-pop ever since unveiling their debut album Native Speaker in January 2011. With lead singer and founding member Raphaelle Standell-Preston's vocals as the pillar of their mesmerizing and powerful sound, the band weave organic and electronic elements together amidst a lyrical landscape that is intimate and emotionally-immersive. Their fifth full-length album Euphoric Recall was released this past April on Secret City Records and it captured the band attempting to harness the unbound bliss, the budding impulses, and the messy imperfections of love through melodic, swirling symphonic pop songs.
