Midnight in a Perfect World: NOIA

NOIA is the alias of Spanish pop artist Gisela Fullà-Silvestre. Born and raised in Barcelona and currently based in Brooklyn, Gisela is a celebrated composer and mix engineer for film and TV who launched her NOIA alias to create separation between her professional works and her experimental pop music. After graduating from Berklee College Of Music in 2015, she relocated from Barcelona to Brooklyn and started writing music under the NOIA alias, eventually making her debut in 2016 with the Habits EP for New York City label Cascine Records. Her debut-full length album gisela was released on March 31st, once again via Cascine Records.

NOIA's exclusive guest DJ mix is a wonderfully eclectic affair as she swiftly bounces between different genres and eras. Guided by the idea of a "hopeful spring equinox," she says, "This mix is a collection of songs that are promises of something better and also songs that have inspired my debut record gisela."

Midnight in a Perfect World, KEXP's weekly hour-long guest DJ show, airs Fridays at midnight.
