ZG is a collaborative project between London-based vocalist/artist Zansika Lachhani and French electronic producer Anthony Collins aka Grant, the latter also a member of the veteran house production duo Frank & Tony. Originally forging an online connection through a shared adoration of each other's music, ZG's self-titled debut album was released on Scissor and Thread Records in November 2022, showcasing the duo's sultry blend of atmospheric late-night electronic grooves that taps beautifully into the smoky spirit of the 1990s trip-hop, downtempo, acid jazz, and drum & bass. Although rooted in these nostalgic touchstones, ZG provide their own modernized twist on these iconic sounds for a perfect afterhours vibe.
