Anchorsong is the alias of Tokyo-born, London-based electronic producer and MPC wizard Masaaki Yoshida. A creator of beautiful, melodic, and transportive electronic rhythms, Anchorsong initially put out a string of EPs in his home country of Japan before joining forces in 2010 with British label Tru Thoughts Recordings. Throughout their decade-long relationship, Anchorsong has put out four full-length albums full of colorful and eclectic beats that take rhythmic inspiration from all over the globe, with his newest album Mirage coming out this past May.
