Buscabulla is the project of husband-and-wife duo Luis Alfredo Del Valle and Raquel Berrios, two Puerto Rico-born musicians who formed the band in New York City. They recorded their debut album Regresa in Puerto Rico when they returned to their homeland to help in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. Released this past May, the album is a brilliant showcase of their "tropical modernism" sound that fuses electro-pop, psych-rock, dream-pop, R&B, and various Latin styles, while lyrically tackling stories of loss, anger, and resilience.
Their exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight In A Perfect World beautifully reflects their own magnetic, seductive, and smoky sound as they share choice cuts from all over the musical map, touching upon disco, bossa nova, juke, R&B, psychedelic, soul, ambient, and other adventurous styles.
