Dexter Story is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, music director and producer based in Los Angeles. He's had a varied career in the music industry, including stints as the marketing director at Priority and Def Jam Records, product manager for Snoop Dogg, and repping Meshell Ndegeocello. As a solo artist, he's released two full-length albums that blend jazz, funk and soul with various East African styles, most recently releasing his sophomore album Bahir back in March on Soundway Records. In addition to his musical endeavors, he's also an Artist in Residence and Event Producer at Community Coalition of South Los Angeles, a community organizing and advocacy non-profit, and a first-year M.A. student at UCLA in their African Studies department.
