Nowadays, Carissa's Wierd would be considered a Seattle supergroup. Formed in 1995 and disbanded in late 2003, band members Sera Cahoone and Jenn Champion went on to become beloved solo artists while Ben Bridwell formed Band of Horses and Mat Brooke formed Grand Archives.

As 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of their debut LP Ugly But Honest, Brooke and Champion have announced a series of stripped-down shows in its honor, happening later this year. Mark your calendars. Tickets go on sale July 31st at 10 AM.
