Watch The Cure’s Disintegration 30th Anniversary Concert Via LiveStream

The Cure are delivering the ultimate Throwback Thursday by livestreaming tonight's concert from Australia's Sydney Opera House. The show is the last in a series of five concerts as part of Sydney’s Vivid LIVE festival. 

Starting at 6 AM EST, the Grandfathers of Goth celebrated the 30th anniversary of Disintegration by playing the album in its entirety, along with some B-sides they’d never played live before. The performance was directed by British filmmaker Nick Wickham. Although the concert is now over, the stream is still available to watch below.

Rolling Stone magazine caught up with frontman Robert Smith backstage at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction earlier this year, where he shared that the band are working on plans to bring the Disintegration 30th anniversary shows to the US. "It’s inevitable, I think," he told them. "When we did the last festival, I said, 'this is it.' But once we’ve rehearsed it, I know it’s going to be really good. We’re holding home theaters in New York and Los Angeles. But I kind of feel like we should do it in a bigger venue. I’d like to a big show with it, really. It’s a bigger album. I think when we did the first three albums we did three nights at the Beacon in New York. It was much more punky. We were trying to recreate that vibe. But I think Disintegration is just big. So we need to do somewhere that’s just big. But probably about Christmas time we’ll come back."
