Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett has unveiled a video for the recent Record Store Day single, “Everybody Here Hates You.” Taking from the paranoia-laced lyrics of “You said ‘It’s only in your head’ / They’re probably thinking the same thing,” we find ourselves traveling into Barnett’s brain where herself and her bandmates shred the song amongst the pillowy pink matter until it swallows them whole.

The clip was directed by frequent collaborator Danny Cohen. “[It’s about] some sort of social anxiety that then morphs into paranoia and a level of sadness and depression," Barnett previously said about the song. Relatable!

“Everybody Here Hates You” follows last year’s Tell Me How You Really Feel as well as October’s one-off single “Small Talk,” made for the 10 Years Of Mom + Pop compilation.

Below, watch the video for “Everybody Here Hates You” as well as Barnett’s KEXP in-studio performance from fall 2018.
