Julie Herrera is a California native that moved to Seattle at the age of 13 and has called the Pacific Northwest her home ever since. In the early 1990s, her love of cutting-edge dance music drew her to Seattle's underground music culture, which soon led to becoming a DJ in 1996.
Since then she's paved her own unique lane in the Pacific Northwest electronic dance community, which has included residencies with the Hitgirl Collective and HotMess shows in the late 1990s and early 2000s that were dedicated to elevating emerging female DJs and artists. Julie is currently a resident at Flammable, Seattle's beloved Sunday night party at Re-Bar that's the longest-running house music weekly on the West Coast, and she continues to bring her infectious love of house, techno, disco, and Afrobeat every time she gets behind the decks.
