British trio Kero Kero Bonito have shared a new song highlighting their tour journeys titled “The Open Road.” While the bubbly number may sound light and joyous, the band encountered some very dangerous stuff while traversing North America last year including “the time a lorry nearly jackknifed into us in a blizzard,” according to frontwoman Sarah Midori Perry. The song is the b-side from a forthcoming 7-inch featuring the song “Swimming” on the A-side.
The release follows last year’s sophomore album Time ‘n’ Place. Read an interview with KKB about the inspiration behind their first record for Polyvinyl here. The band will be on the road yet again shortly and will make a stop in Seattle on Thursday, April 25 to play Neumos.
