Stephen Malkmus has shared the second single from his upcoming solo electronic album Groove Denied. Titled “Rushing the Acid Frat,” the song follows last month’s “Viktor Borgia” and is based on a “specific frat” at Malkmus’ alma mater, University of Virginia. The song comes along with a psychedelic video featuring a cartoon version of Malkmus walking through various warped landscapes.

Groove Denied marks the Pavement frontman’s first solo album since his 2001 self-titled LP and took 13 years of tinkering. Last year, Malkmus was ready to reveal it to the world but his label, Matador, thought it better if he released the more straightforward guitar rock album with the Jicks, Sparkle Hard, first. Now that that’s done, Malkmus’ electronic debut will be making its appearance on March 15.
