Mark de Clive-Lowe is a prolific musician, composer, collaborator, and in-demand remix artist who's been influential in the electronic and jazz communities for over two decades. Born in New Zealand and currently based in Los Angeles, his career took off in London in the early 2000s when he was at the epicenter of the city's broken beat scene, fusing jazz, electronics, funk, and percussion-heavy world music in trailblazing fashion alongside artists such as Bugz In The Attic and 4hero.
This month he just released his 5th full-length album titled Heritage on Ropeadope Records. The album finds strong inspiration in his Japanese ancestry as well as his current status as a key figure in Los Angeles' jazz renaissance, and it adds another landmark entry in his stacked catalog.
