KEXP Heads to Trans Musicales 2019

KEXP is excited to be heading back to Rennes, France, for our fourth year at the Trans Musicales de Rennes, December 4th through 8th! Our goal, as always when partnering with international festivals like Les Trans, is to share new music from across the globe with you from artists that we may not have otherwise heard. Now in its 41st year, the festival has made a name for itself featuring artists just before they break and seeking new talent from around the world. Since 2016, we’ve been able to feature 39 artists from their lineup, a few of which have been able to make it over to KEXP like Superorganism and Altin Gün. 
 
The KEXP video crew and I are looking forward to heading back to Trans Musicales to capture exclusive live sessions from the 2019 lineup. Here are a few artists we’re looking forward to recording: 
 
Les Grys-Grys from Alès, France will do some pure 60s style rock.

With a mix of vocals in Arabic, Italian and French is Tunisian-born Belgian Jawhar Basti promises to bring a beautiful pop-folk set.

London-based 5 piece Los Bitchos hail from Uruguay, Australia, UK, and Sweden. They play fun and summery instrumental psych-chicha which will be very nice on a winter day.

Taiwanese jazz/prog/post rock 5-piece Go Go Machine Orchestra are going to drench the room in sound for sure.
