Sabían que Bomba Estéreo empieza cada una de sus giras por los Estados Unidos en Seattle? Es que nuestra ciudad mantiene un cariño especial por la banda colombiana que tiene una de las sesiones de KEXP más visitadas en nuestro canal de Youtube. El dúo integrado por la poderosa Li Saumet y Simón Mejía acaban de conectar dos continentes participando de la nueva canción del artista catalán Carlos Sadness, llamada “Aloha”.
Este sencillo fue lanzado hace algunos días junto con un videoclip grabado en Santa Marta (Colombia) y Madrid. En la pieza audiovisual los artistas anuncian que la cancion esta dedicada a “todos los que alguna vez se sintieron solos”.
La artista nacida en Brasil y de actual base en Paris, Dom La Nena, lanzará su tercer álbum Tempo a principios de 2020. Esta era musical la anticipa en su nuevo sencillo “Oiseau Sauvage”. La canción se publicó hace un mes y es la primera que tiene presente los tres idiomas de la vida de la cantante, compositora y chelista brasileña. El sencillo fue mezclado por Noah Georgeson (Devendra Banhart, The Strokes) y lo acompaña un videoclip dirigido por Jeremiah (R.E.M., The Do, Camille).
La nueva canción de la banda de Granada es una pista oculta de su último trabajo El Resto del Mundo, que salió en febrero de 2019. “Lienas de Fuerza”, la canción recomendada esta semana para introducirte en el mundo de Apartamentos Acapulco, resume el sonido más shoegaze de la banda española. Guitarras “reverberizadas” que se mezclan con teclados cósmicos y amplían su tan característica paleta musical.
La primera guitarra y cantante de la banda argentina Mi Amigo Invencible tiene su proyecto solista llamado El Príncipe Idiota. Ambos lados poseen un aura especial donde en el segundo caso se permiten oscuridades y brillos específicos. Con el nuevo sencillo “El Trabajo” el también director cinematográfico, Mariano Di Cesare, invita a la fresca voz de Rosario Ortega, autora y cantante argentina, para desplegar un imaginario audiovisual propio.
El puente musical de la semana está dedicado a un país que posee uno de los caldos culturales más diversos y eclécticos de América Latina: MÉXICO. Este puente está caracterizado por recomendar un artista tradicional del país elegido y sus proyecciones contemporáneas. Es por eso que debemos partir de la gran obra de Chavela Vargas para llegar a las últimas canciones lanzadas por la virtuosa Julieta Venegas y el joven prodigio, Ed Maverick. Algunas consideraciones:
