Najah Monique Todd and Del Brown always bring the celebration as Mirrorgloss, a soulful dance-pop duo committed to an "inclusive dance party where everyone is invited." Founded in 2012 in Tacoma, Washington, the two released the single "I Feel Free" early this summer, a song they describe as "about losing yourself to the music, going so far outside yourself in movement and rhythm, when all else falls away and you feel ultimately free. The dance floor is the church, the DJ is the pastor."

They couldn't have captured it better than in this music video. Today, KEXP is thrilled to premiere the clip, featuring guest dancers Oliver Doriss (owner of Fulcrum Gallery a.k.a. Olivia Phaze), Karl Kassel and Lizzie Claus of Creature Hole, and Burlesque beauty Ava D Jour (a.k.a. Alegra Thornsburg of the Gritty City Sirens). Mirrorgloss told us more about the video:

We filmed in Najah’s salon in Downtown Tacoma called Embellish Tacoma and we danced in front of that beautiful mermaid piece hand painted by Candy Teeth Creative owner Jeremy Gregory.

The day was laid back and positive. Matt Deering, who directed the video, has a way of capturing people in their most natural state so it was just a lot of fun. We had snacks and these amazing Hawaiian BBQ corn chips and good vibes. Everyone included in our day has a special love and affinity for music and dancing and have brought both of us much joy on the dance floor!

Mirrorgloss are playing the opening night party for Freakout Fest 7 on Thursday, November 14th at the Conor Byrne Pub, and playing the Spanish Ballroom in Tacoma on Friday, November 29th with The Black Tones and La Fonda.
