Here's something scary: Mercury Retrograde kicks off today and is sticking around for three whole weeks. For anyone not familiar with this terminology, it's a period where the planet of Mercury moves in an opposite direction to Earth. Astrologers believe this has an effect on things like communication, travel, and learning. Phone acting up? It's Mercury in retrograde. Miss the bus? Mercury in retrograde. Fight with a friend? Go ahead and blame it on the planets.

Seattle band Tacocat know what it's all about as evidenced in their brand new single "Retrograde," available digitally today via Sub Pop. Check out the track below, along with their May 2019 KEXP in-studio session.

If you're in Seattle, join the band tonight at The Crocodile for a big Halloween bash with DoNormaal and Sundae Crush. (21+ only though, sorry.)

And hang in there, everyone. Mercury goes direct on Wednesday, November 20th.
