Kurt Vile has unveiled a new song, a loosey that was initially intended for last year’s Bottle It In. Titled “Timing Is Everything (And I’m Falling Behind),” the single is characteristically Vile – all twangy guitars and lackadaisical vocals. Vile describes the song as “a candid snapshot of KV & the Violators ‘at home,’ where we like it: sparse and jangly and as live as possible.”
Bottle It In was Vile’s seventh solo record and first in 3 years following 2015’s b’lieve i'm goin down. Next month, Vile will head out on a world tour that unfortunately does not include a Seattle date.
