Flora FM is a new alias of local electronic producer Taylor Hawkins, a moniker he adopted following a move to Seattle from Detroit. Previously recording under the name Community Corporation, his cerebral blend of techno, house, breaks, acid, and electro styles has been garnering critical acclaim this year. He shared his debut release as Flora FM titled Discovery in the Atomic Garden in early May on Argot Records, and quickly followed that up in June with a self-titled Flora FM EP on Vanity Press Records. His exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World is an adventurous journey through high-energy, propulsive, underground techno and experimental broken beat rhythms, dusting off hard-hitting tracks from the 1990s and early 2000s, as well as showcasing choice selections from today's progressive leftfield scene.
