Low have announced their 12th studio album, Double Negative, out September 14 via Sub Pop. They’ve also shared three new songs, “Quorum,” “Dancing and Blood,” and “Fly” via individual black & white videos. The album is being described as Low’s "most brazen, abrasive (and, paradoxically, most empowering) album." It was produced by BJ Burton and recorded at Justin Vernon’s April Base studio in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Low’s last album was 2015’s Ones and Sixes. [ Under the Radar ]

Chromatics have revealed the second single off of their forthcoming, long-awaited album Dear Tommy. Titled “Blue Girl,” the song was shared via a slickly brooding video directed by the band in collaboration with director of photography Rene Hallen. Mirah has shared a new single titled “Hot Hot,” which is the first song to be shared from her forthcoming sixth studio album, Understanding. The album features Deerhoof’s Greg Saunier on drums and producer Eli Crews (tUne-yArDs, WHY?, Son Lux). Last year, she released the Sundial EP and her last full-length was 2014’s Changing Light. Last week, Mirah performed at Seattle’s Upstream Music Fest. [ Stereogum ]

British teen duo Let’s Eat Grandma have released the fourth single off their upcoming album, I’m All Ears. Called “Ava,” the song is a far more stripped down track than the previous singles, focusing solely on piano and vocals. I’m All Ears is out June 29th via Transgressive Records and is the duo’s sophomore album, following 2016’s I, Gemini. The previously released singles include the SOPHIE-produced “Hot Pink” and “Falling Into Me.” [ SPIN ]
