• Will Sheff's long-running project Okkervil River are releasing a new album this Spring called In the Rainbow Rain. We've already heard the lead single "Don't Move Back to LA" and today Sheff has unveiled the second single "Pulled Up the Ribbon." It comes accompanied by a video by Christopher Good that features the band on a beach dressed in clothes from the 1700s. Good said this about the video: "It's such a sweeping, rousing, almost elemental-sounding track. I immediately thought of the rock beach in Rockport, Massachusetts' Halibut Point State Park as an appropriately evocative backdrop and then from there just let my mind wander!" In the Rainbow Rain is out April 27 via ATO. Okkervil River will play Neumos on Monday, June 4. [ Under the Radar ]

Australian musician Courtney Barnett is releasing her sophomore album Tell Me How You Really Feel on May 18. So far, she's shared the album's first two singles, "Nameless, Faceless" and "Need a Little Time." Today, Barnett has announced extended dates to her fall tour and it includes a stop in Seattle on Monday, October 8 where she'll play the Paramount Theatre. She also spoke with the program Kyle Meredith With... and detailed her time spent recording with Kim and Kelley Deal of the Breeders for Tell Me How You Really Feel, saying: "[The Breeders] were a bit of a late discovery for me, but I think it came at… I think music always comes to you when it’s supposed to, when you need it somehow." Czarface is a rap group formed from the underground duo 7L & Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck. They're combining forces with prolific underground rap legend MF DOOM for the album Czarface Meets Metal Face!. They've already shared the song "Nautical Depth" from the record and today they've revealed the second single, "Bomb Thrown." The bombastic song comes with an animated video from director Kendra Morris, in which a cartoon MF DOOM teams up with the robot character from the Czarface cover art to fight bad guys. Czarface Meets Metal Face! is out March 30. [ Pitchfork ]

Hinds are releasing their sophomore album I Don't Run in a couple of weeks. So far, they've shared two songs from the album: "New For You" and "The Club." Today, the latter has received the video treatment from director Matthew Dillon Cohen, which sees the band having more fun than you at a ski resort. They mount snowmobiles, play on a frozen lake, and take over a ski lodge for a dance party, all while donning '80s winter gear. The band says of the sound of “The Club,” “it’s more Hinds than Hinds themselves.” I Don't Run is out April 6 via Mom + Pop. Catch Hinds in Seattle on Tuesday, May 22 when they play the Crocodile.
