Montreal post-punk band Ought have shared the video for "Desire" off of their third album, Room Inside the World, released last month. Directed by Heather Rappard, the clip follows one seemingly shy man's daily routine leading up to climatic evening where he fronts the band dressed in drag. Rappard said of the video: "“Desire” as a song has a real triumphant quality and masculine energy; I wanted to take this and subvert it and create a video that focused more on internal desire. Something that was important to me was that the video feel cathartic and positive." Room Inside the World is out now on Merge Records. Catch Ought at Chop Suey on Friday, March 23. [ Stereogum ]

'90s Boston alt-rock heroes Belly recently reunited and are releasing their first new album in 23 years this May, DOVE. Today, they shared the video for lead single, "Shiny One." Directed by the band's Chris Gorman along with Jack McKenna, the video sees the band donning bird masks while rocking out in the woods. "I purchased a crow mask from Archie McFee a few years ago for a Halloween party that had an 'enchanted forest' theme. I'm a lazy and dull human being so I just wore the mask and street clothes. In the party photos everyone looked magical and 'enchanted' but I looked disturbing and wrong. I always wanted to do something with that. " Belly will be in Seattle on Sunday, August 12 to play the Neptune. [ Under the Radar ]
