Compiling a playlist of songs about love? That's like trying to count all the Converse sneakers at an indie rock show: infinite. Every Valentine's Day, John Richards offers up his annual Songs of Love and Hate show from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM PT, and here on the KEXP Blog, we're focusing on the latter, which, of course, couldn't happen without the former. On the Midday Show, DJ Cheryl Waters will show her love for her listeners from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and then from 2:00 to 6:00 PM, cupid Kevin Cole will be keeping the love theme going with songs and artists you love. They always say, nothing is more inspiring than a break-up, and these songs (and Taylor Swift's career) prove that's true. Happy Valentine's Day from everyone at KEXP!
