Last year, French musician and actress Charlotte Gainsbourg ended her seven-year musical hiatus by releasing the album Rest. Today, she’s announced that she’s following it up with a five-track EP titled Take 2. The EP features a cover of Kanye West’s “Runaway,” a new version of the Rest track “Deadly Valentine,” and three new songs. She’s shared one of those new songs today, “Such a Remarkable Day.” The upbeat dance track comes with a video compiling footage from Gainsbourg’s live shows.
Take 2 is produced by SebastiAn, who is most known for his work with Frank Ocean and previously worked with Gainsbourg on Rest, and is out December 14 via Because Music. Below, watch the video for “Such a Remarkable Day” and Gainsbourg’s KEXP in-studio performance from 2010.
