Pearl Jam have announced that their Ten Club singles series is coming to an end in 2019. The annual subscription singles series has been running since 1991, with the band sharing covers, lives tracks, and collaborations to members.
“Beginning January 1, 2019 the Ten Club Single will be discontinued,” reads the message posted on their website. “We hope that you have enjoyed these special collectibles over the past 25+ years. All members who purchased or renewed their membership in 2017 and/or 2018 will still receive the MP3 downloads of the Ten Club Single for those years. Members who purchased or renewed their membership at the Analog level in 2017 and/or 2018 will also receive the limited edition vinyl for those years once physical production is complete. Pearl Jam and all of us at Ten Club appreciate the loyalty and dedication from our members. It has been amazing to watch the fan club evolve over the years into the tight-knit community it is today, and we’re excited to see what the future holds.”
In the past few years, the Ten Club release schedule has gotten more erratic, with the 2017 and 2018 singles still yet to be released. Earlier this year Pearl Jam shared their first new song in five years, “Can’t Deny Me,” with Ten Club members. Pearl Jam played the first of their home shows last night and played a number of covers, including The White Stripes' "We're Going to Be Friends"
Ament debuted songs from the new album, tracks that inspired him, and some of his favorite new music on The Afternoon Show with DJ Kevin Cole.
Dubbed Pearl Jam: Home and Away, the exhibit will open on August 11th to coincide with the band’s Seattle Home Shows at Safeco Field
