Midnight In A Perfect World: Nark

Nark is the alias of Seattle-based DJ, producer, and label runner Kevin Kauer. A community builder, club veteran, party politician, and producer of acid-soaked techno, Nark has been a leader in the fluid underground dance scene of Seattle for the past decade. He proudly represents Seattle in club gigs and events worldwide, as well as through his own Alternative Pride festival. He's released original music and remixes on labels such as 2MR, Nein, and Soul Clap Records, and he also runs "Bottom Forty", which is a local queer-powered record label, sensory enhancing party, and DJ collective. In addition to hosting recurring Bottom Forty parties, Nark has also recently taken up residency at Queer Bar and can be found hosting events there three times a month. His exclusive guest DJ mix for Midnight in a Perfect World is a hypnotic and seamless journey through underground techno and cerebral acid rhythms designed for dark after-hours dancefloors.

Midnight in a Perfect World, KEXP’s weekly hour-long guest DJ show, airs Fridays at midnight. This multi-genre program features eclectic sets by a rotating cast of international and local DJ’s, each building upon a party vibe to kick off your weekend.
