Helado Negro (the project of Roberto Carlos Lange) has shared the second single from his forthcoming album This Is How You Smile. Titled “Pais Nublado,” the dreamy, meditative song translates to “Cloudy Country” and is sung primarily in Spanish with an English refrain of “And I haven’t lost my mind thinking about you / And I haven’t lost my breath shouting for the things we’re about to do.”
"The song is about knowing you’ll be around longer than the people who don’t take the time to understand what you’ve been doing," Lange explains. "It explores ideas of cloudy places, in particular, our ‘cloudy’ country, and uncertain futures."
“Pais Nublado” follows November’s electronic-tinged lead single “Please Won’t Please.” This Is How You Smile is out March 8 via RVNG International. Lange will join Beirut on their North American tour with a stop in Seattle on Wednesday, February 27 at the Paramount.
