Dinosaur Jr. mastermind J Mascis is releasing a new solo album this Friday, November 9 titled Elastic Days. Today, he’s shared the fourth single and title track from the album alongside a video starring drag icon Dina Martina. (In fact, check out the t-shirt he wore for last week's KEXP in-studio session in the above photo!)

“I’ve been a big Dina Martina fan for a long time. I’ve seen her perform many times over the years,” Mascis says in a press release. “I’m glad that I got her to do this video before she becomes an untouchable superstar. I am amazed at how the video came out, I’m so psyched.”

The video was directed by Shane Wahlund and Michael Anderson and sees Martina lip-synching the song in front of a screen of footage of night driving while switching into a variety of outfits. “Elastic Days” follows the singles “See You at the Movies,” “Everything She Said,” and “Web So Dense.” The new record features cameos from Black Heart Procession’s Pall Jenkins, Miracle Legion’s Mark Mulcahy, and Luluc’s Zoë Randell and was recorded at Mascis’ Bisquiteen studio in Massachusetts.

Mascis will make a stop in Seattle on Friday, November 9 at the Tractor Tavern. Below, watch the video for “Elastic Days” as well as Mascis' solo KEXP in-studio performance from 2011.
