Folk-rocker Kurt Vile has shared the third single from forthcoming album Bottle It In. “One Trick Ponies” is a surprisingly earnest song that features Warpaint’s Stella Mozgawa and Farmer Dave Scher on harmonies. It follows lead single “Loading Zones” and the rambling 9-minute “Bassackwards.” It comes alongside a lo-fi lyric video that sees Vile exploring woods and rowing a boat.
Bottle It In follows Vile’s 2017 collaborative record with Courtney Barnett, Lotta Sea Lice, and his 2015 solo record, b’lieve I’m goin’ down. His new record will feature appearances from Kim Gordon, Lucius, and Cass McCombs. Vile will embark on a North American tour with his band the Violators in November. They’ll take the Moore Theatre stage on Saturday, December 16.
