The third set from KEXP's Day 2 coverage at Upstream Music Fest + Summit came from local glam rock outfit J GRGRY, memorably led by the eponymous Joe Gregory. Shirtless, donned with extensive pink and gold makeup, Gregory commanded KEXP's stage at Little London Plane, playing tracks from his record released earlier this year, Gold Teeth & Glass Eyes.

Joined by a tight three-piece band, and video piece provided by Amy Billharz, Gregory channeled the stage presence of glam icons like Mike Hadreas (Perfume Genius), Jobraith, and (obvious, but true) David Bowie. The band seemed invigorated by Gregory's energy, powering their way through the propulsive material. During the last track, "Floodlands," Gregory finished his lyrics and walked out of Little London Plane straight down Jackson St, returning following the band's conclusion to an exuberant round of applause.

J GRGRY will be playing at 6PM on Friday, May 12 at Galvanize Basement as part of Upstream. They will also play VOLUME Inlander on June 3rd in Spokane, The Shakedown in Bellingham, WA on June 17th, and this year's Bumbershoot Music Festival (9/1-3).
