Hailing from Düsseldorf, Grandbrothers is a collaborative project of German musicians Erol Sarp and Lukas Vogel. They combine the grand piano with self-built synthesizers to create dynamic electronic-accented neo-classical compositions. Two years after their debut album Dilation, they recently released their sophomore album Open this past October, marking their debut for City Slang Records. Here's some words from Grandbrothers regarding their eclectic mix for 'Midnight in a Perfect World' --"With this mix we want to show the diversity of music we're influenced by. People keep asking us what our influences are and how we would describe our music. The answer is: it's very complex. We love to listen to techno as much as hip-hop, jazz, classical, ambient, singer-songwriter stuff... so this mix should give you a brief introduction to our listening habits. But of course there's lots more…“
Super varied with a strong emotional current throughout, it aptly showcases their diverse taste.
