To say that fans of Nick Cave have mixed feelings this week is an understatement. Tomorrow, the sixteenth studio album by the much-revered Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds will be released, accompanied by a feature-length film of performance and conversation, shot in both black-and-white and colour, and shown in both 3D and 2D. While either of these would normally be cause for celebration and for dark masses to be held by the group's fervent fans, particularly since their last release, Push the Sky Away, hit shelves over three years ago, there's no doubt that both the album, Skeleton Tree, and the film, One More Time With Feeling, will be shadowed by the accidental death last year of Cave's 15-year-old son Arthur. As Nick Cave has never shied from themes of loss and grief, even if this time it's all too real, and director Andrew Dominik holds nothing back in this candid look at the revered Australian songwriter and his band's creative process, fans can expect an emotionally moving and poignant experience from each.

Tonight, One More Time With Feeling premieres at SIFF Cinema. Tickets are still available for the 9:30PM showing, and then the film runs once per night on the 9th through 11th. Find out more and order tickets here.
