Flyying Colours - It's Tomorrow Now (MP3)
It's like it's both tomorrow and yesterday. "It's Tomorrow Now", the first single from the upcoming full-length debut by Flyying Colours, immediately recalls their classic shoegaze roots and love for 90's fuzz-pedal groups like My Bloody Valentine, Swervedriver, Lush, and Ride. The Melbourne band is reverent to more than one scene, though, and inject a heart-pounding dose of punchy Brit pop and grinding guitar grunge to awake their dreamy sound, so much so that by the song's searing apex, it feels like Flyying Colours are ready to surpass them all.
You can listen to today's featured song immediately, but in reality, it's not tomorrow now, so you're going to have to wait until September 23rd to pick up Flyying Colours' full-length. Until then, you can revisit last year's release of EPX2, which may have felt like an LP but actually combined the Australian band’s 2013 self-titled debut EP with their second EP, ROYGBIV. Those were all terrific songs, but we can't wait to hear what happens when Flyying Colours roll out.
