  • On August 12, The Oh Sees' will drop A Weird Exit, their TENTH studio album. Very impressive. The first taste of the album, "The Axis," is a psychedelic track that will take you on a 6-minute ride to the 1970s. Be sure to catch them at Oregon's Pickathon festival on August 6 and then in Seattle at Neumos on November 25. [CoS]

  • British new wave outfit Metronomy have shared the video for their Summer 08 track "Night Owl." Frontman Joseph Mount traipses around the desert playing tennis, swimming, and getting murdered in many different ways. Watch below. [NME]

  • Ultimate Painting are gearing up to release their third studio album, Dusk, on September 30. The UK duo recorded the entire 10-track LP in their home studio. Listen to "Bills," the album's dreamy opening number, below. [Stereogum]

  • St. Vincent took to twitter last night to share her haunting cover of "Thank You For Being A Friend," the beloved theme song from the Golden Girls. She really made it her own. Never in a million years would I have known that this was that theme song, but I'll take her word for it. [Stereogum]
