  • Sleigh Bells go for broke on their new song "Rule Number One." This is the first we've heard from the noise pop duo since last year's single "Champions of Unrestricted Beauty." Their last full-length, Bitter Rivals, dropped in 2013, so let's hope this means there's a new album in the works. [Pitchfork]

  • Last night, Band of Horses stopped by the Late Late Show with James Corden to promote their upcoming album, Why Are You OK (out June 10). The Seattle folk rockers performed the smooth ballad "Whatever, Whenever" and followed it up with a web exclusive performance of "Solemn Oath." Watch both below. [Stereogum]

  • On July 1, Bat for Lashes', a.k.a. Natasha Khan, will drop her latest LP, The Bride. The album tells the story of a bride who's fiancé tragically dies on the day of their wedding. On her new song, "Joe's Dream," Khan's velvety vocals ominously foreshadow Joe's fate. [CoS]

  • Rapper Dev Hynes, better known as Blood Orange, has announced his plans to release his new album, Freetown Sound, on July 1. In a press release, Hynes stated:
    "I have just finished making an album about my life, my upbringing, being black in England, being black in America... my movement to this country at the age of 21, the same age that my mother moved from Guyana to London, and my father from Sierra Leone to London.Freetown Sound, the name of my album, is taken from Freetown where my father was born."
