  • On May 20, Day Of The Dead, an extensive, six-hour Grateful Dead tribute album will be released. Brothers Bryce and Aaron Dessner of The National have been the driving force behind the collection, which features contributions from Sharon Van Etten, The Flaming Lips, Local Native, and many more. Last night, The National performed The Dead's "Morning Dew" on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. [CoS]

  • UK supergroup, Minor Victories will drop their self-titled debut album on June 3. The band includes brothers Justin Lockey of Editors and James Lockey of Hand Held Cine Club, also Slowdive's Rachel Goswell, and Mogwai's Stuart Braithwaite.   • James Blake shared the video for his stunning Bon Iver collaboration "I Need a Forest Fire." This is the first song from his recently released The Colour in Anything to get the video treatment. [SPIN]
